WILMINGTON, Del. — A person selling candy in the parking lot of a Wilmington shopping center was robbed at gunpoint Monday evening after refusing an initial demand for property, according to the Delaware State Police.

The robbery occurred at approximately 5 p.m. in the 3100 block of Kirkwood Highway. Investigators said the suspect fled the scene with the victim’s belongings, and no injuries were reported.
