WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A Wilmington man facing two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill is also accused of accidentally dialing 911 from his cell phone while heading to the alleged crime.
A warrant issued June 23 in New Hanover County charges Jahzail Shamon Grady, 19, with two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, felony conspiracy, and a misdemeanor count of discharging a firearm in the city.
The warrant alleges he assaulted two individuals with a handgun. The misdemeanor charge alleges Grady discharged a handgun within city limits. The warrant lists the offense date as May 31.
Court documents allege Grady conspired with Isaiah Lewis, 23, and Tazhan Beverly, 25, to commit assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
