WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, N.C. (WECT) – A 67-year-old Ohio woman died Sunday following a medical emergency at Wrightsville Beach, according to her husband.
Michael Martens said he and his wife, Susan Martens, traveled from Ohio to Wrightsville Beach, where they had been vacationing. Susan had previously lived in Pender County and was returning to the area she had known before the couple married.
“She loved it, and she loved this whole area and loved the people,” Michael said. “Everyone’s been super nice.”…
