Wilmington City Council approves $20M bond plan to overhaul Solomon Towers public housing

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Wilmington City Council unanimously approved a plan for the Wilmington Housing Authority to issue up to $20 million in revenue bonds to rehabilitate Solomon Towers, a public housing high-rise at 15 Castle Street.

The resolution was passed at the council’s July 21 meeting. The city’s approval was required by federal tax law and does not commit city funds to the project.
