WORCESTER – A lawyer for Jami Parker, the Leominster National Guard member who shot her boyfriend in the head in 2024 not far from their newborn child, told jurors at the opening of her murder trial Sept. 28 that she acted in self-defense.
“As the judge will tell you, not every homicide is a murder,” defense lawyer Michael Hussey told a Worcester Superior Court jury, alleging the victim, Jeffrey Carr, had assaulted Parker and placed her in fear for her life.
