SPRINGFIELD — A former aide to Gov. Maura Healey accused of trafficking cocaine out of a state building has filed motions to suppress evidence in Hampden Superior Court.
LaMar Cook, of Springfield, was a Western Massachusetts liaison to the governor until his arrest in October on drug trafficking charges. Investigators say he retrieved multiple bricks of cocaine at the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus hotel, where he once worked, and at his office at the “Little Statehouse” at 436 Dwight St.
He had served in Healey’s regional office since 2023. He earned an annual salary of just over $115,000, according to public records…
