Man sentenced for ‘terrorizing,’ murdering young sisters

A man who “terrorized” and murdered two young sisters has been sentenced to life in prison.

John Tooson, 36, received two life sentences for the June 2022 killings of 20-year-old Selina Easter and her sister, 18-year-old Summer Algarakhuly, at a residence in Ashland, according to the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office.

He received the sentences after pleading guilty to two counts of murder, first-degree robbery, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, felony wanton endangerment, and persistent felony offender…
