Lakeland, FL – Lakeland officials are moving forward with a proposal that would temporarily stop new data center developments as the city evaluates how the facilities could affect future growth and infrastructure.
City commissioners recently approved the first reading of an ordinance that would establish a one year moratorium on applications for new data centers and other developments with significant electrical demands.
