ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Police are investigating a reported stabbing in Albany. One teen was injured as a result of the incident.

On August 3 around 8:30 p.m., Albany Police were informed by Albany Medical Center staff that a 16-year-old boy was being treated at the hospital for a non-life-threatening knife wound. APD determined that the minor was allegedly stabbed in the shoulder during an altercation with another person on Monday night near Central Avenue and Quail Street.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with pertinent information is asked to contact the Albany Police Department’s Detective Division by calling (518)462-8039.
