Growing up in the deep south, I obviously grew a fondness for Barbeque. Sure, the smokehouses you could go to were great, but the real magic was the local mom & pop shops.

Troy Pig Out
Every year, the city of Troy turns into the BBQ center of the Capital Region with Troy Pig Out. Downtown Troy gets packed with local Restaurants and pitmasters who will duke it out to see who has the best BBQ in Troy for the 2026 Pig Out Title.
It’s not just a competition, it’s a celebration! The event is free and open to the public, so stop by, grab some bites (sold separately), and cast your vote for the best BBQ in Troy!
The event runs on August 16 from 12 PM to 5 PM.
