Murder trial paused after witness for prosecution was shot Tuesday morning, DA says

A murder trial set to resume Tuesday was paused after a key witness for the prosecution was shot hours before the courthouse was set to open, District Attorney Hillar Moore confirmed.

The witness, who has not been identified, received serious but nonfatal injuries and was hospitalized, Moore said.
