BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Two men were taken into custody after allegedly posing as law enforcement to steal a dump truck, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office (EBRSO) said Wednesday.
According to deputies, two men pretending to be law enforcement officers carjacked a dump truck at gunpoint shortly before 1 p.m. on North Flannery Road. Investigators said the men, who were driving a Yukon, forced the dump truck driver out of the vehicle before splitting up, with one suspect driving away in the dump truck and the other fleeing in the Yukon.
Around 1:06 p.m., deputies located the Yukon, which was also reported stolen, on Greenwell Springs Road and arrested one of the suspects during a traffic stop…
