A Salem driver is lucky to be alive after driving off a bridge and landing in an East Alabama creek earlier this week. Salem Volunteer Fire & Rescue uploaded stunning photos from the incident on their official Facebook page Friday.
According to the volunteer organization at 11:12 pm, Wednesday night, Rescue 520, Engine 511 and three of our volunteers responded to the 8500 block of AL-169 on a report of a car driving off a bridge.
At arrival crews found the driver had self-extracted from the vehicle and climbed back to the roadway. The driver was transported to a local hospital by East Alabama EMS. The vehicle was removed from the creek and towed by Jones Towing…
