Her name is Alex Shaw and she’s the owner of The Devil’s Moto Works where she works on motorcycles. She started her small business only six months ago and was not expecting anything like major flooding to happen, especially because not only did it affect her business, but her home as well.

Shaw noticed the flooding at 5:30 in the morning when she woke up to 4 inches of water in her apartment.

“It was coming through the front door, it was coming up through the toilet, it was coming through my sinks. My dog was scared. She doesn’t even like water. So it was definitely not ideal,” said Shaw.
