The American Red Cross says it gave emergency help to 14 people after two Friday fires in the Capital District.
According to an American Red Cross press release, volunteers from the Northeastern New York Chapter responded after a fire early Friday morning on John Street in Hoosick Falls. The group said it gave financial assistance to six adults and three children, including a 5-year-old and two 17-year-olds, for needs such as shelter, food and clothing.
