BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A local man is in jail after police said he failed to appear in court on a grand larceny charge. Charles Ferrara, 54, is now also facing a bail jumping charge.
Ferrara was initially arrested on June 6, 2025 and charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree. Police said he cashed a check for $1,045 that was supposed to be a payment for handyman work in Clifton Park, but he never showed nor performed any of the work.

Ferrara was released on his own recognizance upon the condition that he would appear in court for the grand larceny charge. After he failed to do so on the required date or within 30 days, a bench warrant was issued for his failure to appear.
He was then rearrested and charged with bail jumping in the second degree, a class E felony. Ferrara was arraigned and sent to the Saratoga County Jail until future court proceedings…
