SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A coffee shop in Schenectady is passing the reigns of the business to one of its own. Storied, located at 123 Jay Street, is beginning a new chapter as manager Julia Brisbane is handed full ownership of the brand and storefront operations.

The coffee and boba spot made the announcement in a heartfelt post on August 12. In the announcement, the business emphasized how proud they are to be placing the business in the hands of a local family with a passion to keep Storied thriving.
Brisbane has managed the Jay Street location for nearly two years and worked side-by-side with Rich Sarnacki, who co-owned the shop with his wife Christine. Brisbane has been a longtime educator, and is knowledgeable when it comes to working with kids, families and the general public.

For now, Rich “will continue as the lowliest barista that ever barista-ed part-time at Storied,” while also pursuing other interests. Christine remains in her full-time position at the Center for Disability Services.
