The couple, who had been married for nearly two years, reportedly lived together in a second-floor unit at The Lofts at Harmony Mills. According to Cohoes Police Chief Todd Waldin, Jadet Forman had used a ghost gun to shoot his wife and then himself following an argument.

“[The firearm] was something that was put together,” Waldin said. “It was not a legal firearm and he was not allowed to possess this firearm at the time.”

Law enforcement responded to the complex just after 11 a.m. following multiple reports of two shots fired. Police were able to enter the unit at about 4:30 p.m., finding the couple dead.
