The ending of a town hall meeting hosted by Cherokee County Commissioner Corey Ragsdale took an unexpected turn when a man who was in attendance was arrested and charged with pushing the commissioner’s wife.
Ragsdale, who represents District 4, hosted a town hall Aug. 26 at Fire Station 19 near Acworth, where he gave a short presentation on property taxes, provided updates and answered questions from residents.
Ragsdale said in a statement that after the event concluded, an attendee “aggressively approached the Commissioner, yelling loudly and pointing his finger in the Commissioner’s face” before pushing the Ragsdale’s wife.
