Arlington police unveil security measures for FIFA World Cup 26

ARLINGTON, Texas — As the FIFA World Cup 26 approaches, the Arlington Police Department has detailed its security plans to ensure the safety of fans and the city.

The department has been preparing since Arlington was named a host city four years ago, according to a press release from the Arlington Police Department. Chief of Police Al Jones emphasized the significance of the event, stating, “The World Cup is, without question, the biggest yet. I believe we and all our public safety partners will rise to the moment.”
