FORT WORTH, Texas — The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in East Fort Worth.
On May 16, 2026, at approximately 12:05 a.m., officers from the Fort Worth Police Department’s East Division responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the 4200 block of Wiman Drive. Upon arrival, officers heard additional shots and observed an adult male suspect armed with a gun. The officers confronted the suspect and instructed him to drop his weapon. The suspect did not comply and was seen pointing his weapon at the officers, prompting at least one officer to discharge their firearm, striking the suspect.
Officers immediately administered medical aid to the suspect until the Fort Worth Fire Department arrived. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Fort Worth Police Department. No officers were injured during the incident…
