Dali chief engineer faces federal charge tied to Key Bridge collapse

MARYLAND (WBFF) — Federal attorneys in Maryland have filed a charge against Karthikeyan Deenadayalan, the chief engineer of the M/V Dali, alleging he failed to immediately notify the U.S. Coast Guard that a hazardous condition existed aboard the vessel.

The allegation stems from the events leading up to the Dali’s collision with the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which killed six construction workers.
