BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is reminding residents to slow down when driving through school zones.
Deputies said there have been approximately 95 traffic offenses in school zones near T.C. Roberson on Overlook Road and Long Shoals Road. The traffic offenses occurred between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and nearly half were reported to be speeding offenses.
The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said they will be setting up a speed board to raise awareness.
