Measles case confirmed in Buncombe County, NCDHHS says

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) — A case of measles has been confirmed in western North Carolina, state health officials said Sunday.

According to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, a resident from another state traveled through Asheville while carrying the disease.

Health leaders said people who stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Smokey Park Highway between 1 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday should monitor for symptoms until September 16…
