Pawpaws and Fall Produce Arrive at Asheville Farmers Markets

Pawpaws, more apple varieties, fresh cider and the first winter squash are reaching Asheville-area farmers markets while tomatoes, summer squash and other summer crops remain available. Summer and fall items are sharing vendor tables this week.

Pawpaws, North America’s largest native tree fruit, have appeared from Oakley Mountain Greenhouses and Sugar Creek Meat at Asheville City, Leicester, Enka-Candler and East Asheville markets.
