Driver rescued after trying to cross flooded road in Travis County

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin’s emergency crews responded to a least on water rescue on Monday morning after heavy rains closed dozens of low-water crossings across Central Texas.

Austin-Travis County Emergency Services responded to the 10100 block of Old San Antonio Road at I-35, after a driver got their car stuck in floodwaters, after they drove around a barricade blocking off the road.

ATCEMS said that crews rescued the driver. Officials said the driver only had minor injuries…
