SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Sunday at the beach is looking like a nice day to get in the water. The surf will be minimal with seas running around 1 foot waves, so it’s perfect for swimmers and casual beach-goers. East to South winds at 10 to 15 mph will keep things comfortable without being too breezy. The rip current risk is low, so conditions are relatively safe for water activities. Skies will be partly cloudy, and the water will be inviting.
Just keep an eye on the sky for the late afternoon when an isolated thunderstorm could pop up, but overall, it’s a great beach day before the wet pattern takes over early next week.
⛵ Suncoast Boating Forecast
The general trend is light winds and a light chop on the waters. But winds and seas can be significantly higher in and near thunderstorms, so always monitor the radar and be prepared to head to port if storms approach.
