Videos showing a chaotic scene at the New Milford Swim Club are spreading across social media after police responded to a large fight at a weekend pool party.
The “Lavish Effect Pool Party” was held Sunday evening, Aug. 30, without authorization from the borough, Mayor Michael Putrino said. The swim club said it had rented the facility to an independent event company that signed its rental agreement and provided required documentation.
The club was led to believe the event would be organized and peaceful, according to a statement from New Milford Swim Club President Marlen Lugones Bracho shared in a local Facebook group: “Unfortunately, what ultimately occurred was not consistent with what had been represented to us,” Bracho said in the statement…
