Seventeen years is a long time to keep a buffet line full without cutting corners somewhere. Most places that try this end up quietly shrinking the portions or thinning the offerings until nobody can point to the exact moment it stopped being worth the drive.
This one in New York never got around to that. Comfort food still comes out in mountains, the same way it did when the doors opened, and the regulars would notice immediately if it did not.
There is no reinvention happening here. No seasonal menu, no concept. Just a room where the food keeps arriving and people keep going back for another round because that is the entire arrangement and everybody understands it.
