CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A Cedar Rapids catering company has been feeding thousands of construction workers at a time, with the surge in business tied directly to data center development in the area.
Dostal Catering Service owner Jeff Mumm said the influx began in November when a construction company working on one of the local data centers called to place an order.
“They reached out to us to do a Thanksgiving meal. And that was about 3,200 people and we were able to do it for them, making dressing, gravy, the whole 9 yards,” Mumm said.
