Trial delayed for suspects in Iowa City Ped Mall shooting

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The trial for two Cedar Rapids teens accused in the April shooting that injured five people in Iowa City’s Pedestrian Mall is being pushed back.

Damarian Jones and Ka’Mari Dozier had been scheduled to stand trial together on August 18, but that date will now be reset after Dozier waived his right to a speedy trial Friday.

A new trial date has not yet been determined, with a scheduling hearing set for Friday afternoon…
