PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is fighting for his life after witnesses say he was struck by a car while hauling furniture near downtown Phoenix Wednesday morning.
The collision was reported near 7th Avenue and Roosevelt Street around 2:45 a.m. Investigators say a man was crossing the road, not in a crosswalk, when he was hit by a blue SUV. Emergency crews rushed the man to the hospital, where he remains in extremely critical condition.
Arizona’s Family spoke with a man who witnessed the crash and called 911. The witness reported seeing a man dragging a piece of furniture across 7th Avenue before a blue SUV struck him. After hitting the man and the furniture, the driver allegedly stopped, looked, then fled the scene.
