For one Arizona couple, a home renovation dream has turned into an expensive nightmare. And they’re not alone.
Richard and Amanda Finley signed a contract in August 2024 with Holtzman Construction for a $900,000 home renovation project in the Phoenix area. The first three months of work, starting in January 2026, went well. Then it stopped.

“The last five, six, going on six and a half months — nothing has been done,” Richard told FOX 10 Phoenix. “They’d come in and do little things here and there.”
