COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Starting the day off with some light showers and very mild temperatures across the two-state as we transition into an unseasonably warm and unsettled forecast for the rest of the week.
Rain showers should taper off later this morning while remaining pretty much overcast through the majority of the day as high temperatures climb into the 60s.
We are tracking several waves of energy that will bring in showers and storms from the midweek all the way into the end of the week. Late Wednesday we will likely see some showers and storms brush the region late in the evening as most of the energy lifts northward.
Through the overnight into Thursday morning we are tracking another surge of showers and storms that will likely arrive by late morning and into the afternoon. Depending on timing, a few of these could pack more of a punch, but that is still uncertain at this time.
Staying unsettled through Saturday when we finally see an end to this wet pattern as a front clears us out. Next week is trending drier and more seasonal.
