Muscogee County teacher granted immunity in November discipline action of Special Education student

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A Muscogee County State Court judge has granted immunity to a public-school teacher accused of touching a student inappropriately during a disciplinary matter.

Middle school teacher Jody Russell was charged with misdemeanor simple battery in the November incident. It involved a special education student in her class at Fort Middle School.
