Man receives five consecutive life sentences plus 40 years on ten felony counts

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — One man has been sentenced to five consecutive life sentences in prison plus 40 years on ten felony counts, according to Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit District Attorney Don Kelly.

Kelly announced the conviction of Eevon Battee on Thursday, May 7, 2026, on ten felony counts including the following:

  • 2 counts of Aggravated Child Molestation
  • 2 counts of Rape
  • 1 count of Aggravated Sexual Battery
  • 4 counts of Child Molestation
  • 1 count of Enticing a Child For Indecent Purposes

According to Kelly, Battee took the case to trial, refusing the State’s plea offer to serve 25 years followed by life on probation and sex offender conditions.
