After getting prison time, driver in fatal 2020 South Linden shooting refuses to ID shooter

Who fired several gunshots into a 2020 Fourth of July barbecue in South Linden remains a mystery. What is known is that those gunshots killed a 14-year-old girl and hurt two other teens.

The driver behind the wheel during the drive-by shooting that killed Indiah Corley admitted his role and was ordered to spend more than 20 years behind bars. Police have not identified or arrested the person who shot and killed her.

Michael R. Green, now 20, pleaded guilty Friday to involuntary manslaughter and felonious assault before Franklin County Common Pleas Court Judge Chris Brown. As part of the plea deal, prosecutors agreed to dismiss charges of aggravated murder, murder and improper discharge of a firearm into a habitation.

Brown imposed a sentence of at least 23 years in prison with a maximum possible sentence of 28 years behind bars. The first 11 years of that sentence are mandatory, meaning Green will not be eligible for early release until after serving that time.

Green again refused to identify the shooter in court Friday morning.
