Man found guilty of murdering Cobb County social media influencer

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A Cobb County jury on Friday found a man guilty of murdering his social media influencer girlfriend, a case prosecutors said involved a brutal stabbing and an attempt to destroy evidence by burning her car.

Eugene Louis-Jocques was convicted of several charges, including murder, aggravated assault, second-degree arson, concealing a death and tampering with evidence in the August 2023 death of Beauty Couch.

He was sentenced to life in prison without parole plus 20 years.

Opening arguments in the case kicked off on Tuesday. According to evidence presented in court, Louis-Jocques stabbed Couch 81 times before setting her car on fire.
