UPDATE: Airport and Chelton shelter in place lifted

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to the Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management, the shelter-in-place for law enforcement activity for Airport and South Chelton Roads has been lifted.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has issued a shelter-in-place for those living within a one-block radius of Airport and South Chelton Roads.

On Monday, June 1, at around 5:30 p.m., CSPD issued the alert due to law enforcement activity in the 3600 block of Airport Rd.

Police are asking the public to secure their homes or businesses and to stay away from doors and windows. The public is asked to shelter in a safe place until further notice…
