DES MOINES, Iowa — A man previously featured in the Des Moines Police Department’s Wanted Wednesday social media campaign is back in jail after being arrested on more charges.
In February, the DMPD was seeking Christopher Long, 34, on multiple outstanding felony warrants and pending charges related to violating a protective order. He had also allegedly threatened to assault police officers.

Long was taken into custody a few days after the Wanted Wednesday post on eight offenses, including four felonies, according to the DMPD. He was released from jail in April, and since then, more arrest warrants have been issued for him.
DMPD officers saw Long on Monday afternoon near the Harriett Street boat ramp, and as they approached, he ran. Officers used a Taser to take Long into custody, and while he was in the back of a police car, he allegedly began kicking, causing damage to the vehicle’s door.
