Houston police shoot man who pointed gun at father and child near Briar Village, HPD says

A man was shot by a Houston Police Department officer Thursday night after he reportedly pointed a gun at a father and child near the entrance of the Briar Village neighborhood.

The man is known to police and was hospitalized in stable condition after the shooting, HPD Assistant Chief James Skelton told OnScene TV.
