Heavy rain and flooding have forced multiple road closures across the San Antonio area as officials warn drivers about dangerous high water conditions. The high water closures come as the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for the San Antonio area until 10:45 a.m. on Monday, June 15. Here’s a list of impacted roads and what commuters should know:
Road closures in San Antonio
- Multiple westbound lanes are closed on Highway 90 at Cupples Road due to flooding across three lanes, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
- All westbound lanes on Loop 410 at Jackson Keller are closed due to an accident.
- Two westbound lanes are closed on Interstate 10 at Culebra Road due to flooding.
- A collision on 281 at Wurzbach Parkway has closed two northbound lanes.
- The lower levels of I-35 near Cevallos are closed.
- The lower levels on I-10 between Colorado and Cincinnati Avenue are closed.
- A crash on I-35 at Schertz Parkway has closed a northbound lane.
- High water at Salado Creek has caused delays on I-35 Frontage South near Binz-Engleman Road.
- Poss Road in Leon Valley is currently closed due to high water, according to the Leon Valley Fire Department.
- Water ponding is across all lanes on I-10 Frontage West between Medical Drive and Wurzbach Road, according to the traffic monitoring site SigAlert.
- A barricade has been placed at Sleepy Holw from Sunburst Lane to Orsinger Lane, according to the city map of closures.
- A barricade has been placed from Danville Drive to Overbrook.
- A barricade has been placed from Old Corpus Christi Road to Graf Road.
- A portion of Jones Maltsberger Road near Olmos Creek has been closed off, according to a Bexar County map of closures.
- A portion of W Woodlawn Avenue is closed due to high water near N Sabina Street and N Navidad Street.
- In Hollywood Park, several roads are closed, including El Cerrito Circle and Antelope Drive.
