Extreme heat returns tomorrow

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Temperatures are starting in the low to mid-70s today with cloudy skies and periods of rain. We’re not expecting much in the way of thunderstorms, as showers will remain on the light to moderate side. Rain coverage will also be scattered rather than widespread, so today will not be a washout.

With plenty of cloud cover, it won’t be very hot today. High temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 80s.

Clouds will gradually clear tonight, allowing for more sunshine tomorrow and a significant jump in temperatures. Highs will climb into the 90s, with inland areas reaching the mid-90s. Combined with very high humidity, heat index values are expected to exceed 105°, so we will likely see another Heat Advisory issued by the National Weather Service…
