CHESTERFIELD. Va. (WWBT) – Along this quiet stretch of Alfaree Road in Chesterfield, one woman said her neighbors have been a support system for decades.
“It’s been a wonderful neighborhood,” said the woman. “The neighbors all take care of each other.”
The woman, who doesn’t want to reveal her identity for safety reasons, said this support was helpful after what unfolded on her doorstep on Tuesday.
“I was sitting in my room, which is here, and the young man who lives with us jumped up and went flying out the door,” she said.
The Chesterfield County Police Department said officers rushed to the home on Alfaree Road for a report of a domestic assault with a weapon, but once officers got to the scene, they said this was not the case…
