KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A driver was fatally shot after leading Knox County deputies on a 30-minute pursuit on Friday. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will probe the circumstances of the shooting.
According to a Knox County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop around 10:25 p.m. The vehicle did not stop and deputies pursued the driver for approximately 30 minutes.
The pursuit came to an end in the 7800 block of Kodak Road. Shots were fired and deputies immediately rendered aid to the suspect at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office spokesperson. They were pronounced dead by AMR. No deputies were injured…
