Freeport’s Tutty Baker Festival returns for a weekend of family fun

FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) – One of Freeport’s biggest summer traditions continued Saturday as families packed Tutty Baker Festival for a weekend of family fun and community celebration.

The three-day festival features carnival rides, live music, fireworks, food trucks and activities for all ages. Organizers said keeping the event free helps make it accessible for everyone, while also bringing visitors from across the region to experience what Freeport has to offer.

“It’s an entire weekend, packed with a lot of things to do,” Freeport Mayor Jodi Miller said. “We’re bringing in people of every part of the community all over the region. If there isn’t something for you to do, I don’t know what to say. We have 25 food trucks, band after band.”…
