PALO, Iowa — The Palo City Council has approved the final reading of an ordinance creating a new zoning district specifically for data center development.
Council members voted 4-1 Monday night to adopt Ordinance No. 93-2026, which adds Section 165.16A, known as the EU-1 Data Center Exclusive Use District, to the city’s zoning regulations.
Council member Doug Hanover cast the lone dissenting vote. Hanover also voted against the ordinance during its second reading last week. He declined to comment during Monday’s meeting…
