Former Jackson mayor convicted in bribery scandal resigns from Mississippi Bar

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The former mayor convicted for his role in the Jackson bribery scandal has resigned from the Mississippi Bar.

On Monday, Chokwe Antar Lumumba submitted his notice of irrevocable resignation from the Bar, saying he does not desire to defend the complaint filed against him last month.
