NEW SCOTLAND — For the third time in the past year, New Scotland is reviewing a proposal to site a large-scale battery energy storage system within the town.
The first proposal, for a 5-megawatt BESS in Feura Bush, was approved last month while the second proposal, for a 5-megawatt BESS on Wormer Road near Guilderland, has raised objections from neighbors and is still before the planning board.
