Two-time New Jersey state champion Sonny Amato, who’s ranked No. 6 in the country at 150 lbs., decommitted from Iowa. The news was made official via his Instagram account Saturday.
Amato’s top seven schools last August included Virginia Tech, Arizona State, Rutgers, Iowa, Oklahoma, Iowa State and Ohio State. The rising senior has finished first, third and first in three New Jersey state tournaments in Atlantic City.
